I found that I am more respected. I have taken notice of my head (original biblical text - not English version) and when I cover my head with fabric, there is an invisible boundary that not only men respect, but women also respect it. A strange new honor. Wait, yep you just said it lol. Yes. I have a fiery marriage of 20 years and people seem to notice and respect our marriage too, seeing us as a unit rather than individuals. Also, we have 6 children and I see that my kids are also more respected. We have set a standard and a boundary that I never realized was missing. Dressing 'open' left us open and vulnerable. Dressing 'closed' has closed up a wall around us. We are still approachable, but not by scrutiny or judgement.
